i bought a h233b 2001 xterra rear to put in my Fronty to get the C200 out.
So im already planning that i'll relocate the spring pearches from the bottom to the top of the axle and I figure i'll change the drive shaft flange angle to 10-15* while i'm at it.
so i have a couple questions.
I recently rebuilt the brake assemblies on the C200 and was wondering if I could pull off the new drums and shoes and install them on the h233b?
also does anyone have the link that shows where to buy the limited slip disks to repack the LSD and the how to thread on which way to pack the diff plates? I searched but struggled to find those old write ups.
thanks for any help

The brakes between the C200 and H233B are different.

which parts are different?
I was advised on another site to compare replacement parts on http://www.courtesyparts.com
and all the spare parts numbers for the xterra are the same for the frontier, only looking at the brake drum and shoe though. so is there some physical difference courtesyparts isn't showing or are we now thinking they are interchangable?

I have not compared them, but I have noticed that the parkiung brake cables are different. I t is possible that the shoes and drums are the same, but like I said, I have not looked closely enough. Things could be different with the newer ones used in the D22/WD22 than in the D21/WD21 that I am more familiar with.

since we are the picture taking type... i have some to share
after I pulled the pallet onto my pick up

In the shop ready for rework. It looks like all the brake items from my C200 including parking cables will transfer to this rear

I pulled the drums off to see what the small parts look like and I'm still very impressed this axle is in such nice condition for $100 (+shipping). anyway it must have the limited slip cause it is posi when turned by hand. I turned the shaft mount with a pipe wrench and did everything I could to post the lugs but nothing I did would make the rear slip so it's all but confirmed its the lsd. when I pull it out i'll count the plate pack and see if it's able to be rebuilt.
by the way if anyone has a link to "how to" stuff the lsd to be more lockerish it would be greatly appriciated.
apart from the spring pearches it looks like all i would need to do is replace the parking cable and breather tube and its ready to roll.

shipping was about $50 but I always search on www.car-part.com for any regional junkyard that has my parts. I have had quite the success rate with that site.

maybe it might help you in some way. do you have any other info on the e-brake and how they swap over? thats the last thing i need to do. and you got a good price on that axle
