Question
      #605820 - 03/05/10 01:26 PM

Have friend with a 2006 frontier with the 4.0L and he has installed a 4" intake on the truck and now the idle is erratic in rpm. Would this be from the extra airflow? Is there a computor or chip upgrade that will help with this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated...
Thanx , Curtis

Has it been going on long? Maybe the Computer needs time to adjust...

Honestly, it is not creating any additional airflow, but he might want to check for vac leaks and ensure the air temp sensor is in the pipe.

well, found out the right cat convertor had a piece break up inside of it and was making the truck run erratic. It blew out the tail pipe getting onto the expressway and now it is running smooth.
