What size tires will work
      #608003 - 07/29/10 07:58 AM Attachment (17 downloads)

Hey I guys I tried searching for this but couldnt come up with anything. My truck is a 93 HB 4x4 with the AC 3 inch suspension lift. Im debating on whether to do 32x11.50 or 33x10.50. I would really like to avoid trimming and anymore lift is out of the question. Which ones will rub (or wont)??? Thanks for any input guys!

Stay with the 32's, you'll notice a definite powerloss going to 33's.

I have a 95 king cab V-6 with a 3" body lift, running 33x10.5x15's. I've lost a little power, but nothing's rubbing. My wheels have 3 1/2" backspacing and I was told 11.5's might rub, 12.5's WOULD. The tires are BFG all-terrains that "actually" measure 32"x10". With the stock fender flares I"ve gotten a few rock chips,That's next.

How much backspacing do your wheels have? I'd recommend (and ran) the narrow 33s. The weight difference between the 32x11.5s and the 33x10.5s is negligible and the narrow 33s have less rolling resistance.

I have 15x8 inch rims with 4 inch backspace. I also have the fender flares still on my truck and I'd like to keep them. Would the 33x10.50s work with that setup? And also, I shouldnt lose too much power by stepping it up to 33s bc I have the HG46 rear axle so the gearing is there

I'd say either way you may have to trim the flare or fender at the back of the front fender.

I'm going through the same delima with my Frontier. Can't decide if I want to order the 33x10.50's cause I don't want to do much trimming. I originally was gonna do the 32x11.50's but they are on factory backorder. I know I could run another tire but I'm kinda partial to BFG's (got 40k miles out of my M/T's on my old hardbody).
